The St George’s Vaccine Institute is an independent, non-commercial, academic institution, which is part of St George’s, University of London and is co-located, and works closely with, the Clinical Research Facility @ St. George’s University Hospital NHS Trust.

Vaccinology

Edward Jenner, the ‘father of immunology’ who successfully performed the first vaccination against smallpox, was based at St George’s. More recently, our research has included a focus on tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV in low and middle-income countries.
